CA 2E as it's known now is an IBM i based CASE tool from CA. Originally the Synon 2E case tool from 2E has had a confusing life in the 21st century. Becoming part of Sterling Software when Sterling bought Synon, Sterling was then purchased by CA. It's had name ranging from Synon 2E, Advantage 2E, Cool 2E and now just '2E'. Somewhat lost amonst CA's 1500 products, 2E (Synon) is still a great devlopment environment for building greenscreen and limited web applications hosted on the IBM i (AS/400).
